Strategic Direction
The mission of the Police Community Consultative Committee (PCCC) is:
"To enhance Safety and Security through Community Partnerships with the Police"
PCCC Aims
- Improve the quality of life
- Acknowledge that police are not solely responsible for safety and security
- Reduce the actual level of crime
- Reduce fear of crime
- Reduce the efforts of crime
- Improve relationships between the Community and the Police
- Enhance community understanding of the role of organisations involved in community safety and crime prevention
Objectives
- Mobilise agencies, organisations and individuals who have some influence or control over community safety and security
- Encourage the reporting of crime and the sharing of information
- Promote community safety and security
- Reduce the opportunities for crime
- Identify local safety and security issues
- Develop and implement strategies and activities which address those issues
- Ensure effective networking with local government, non government organisations and other PCCC Committees
Meetings are held on a bi-monthly basis on the 1st Monday of the month, 7.30 start at the RSL Hall.
