Rotary Changeover
Rotary President Sashi Nair handed over the reins to incoming
President John Collins at the Changeover Celebration
at the Brewery Restaurant on 17 June.
Mirboo North Rotary welcomed a number of special guests, including Assistant District Governor Ray Howe, Graeme Tindle from Drouin Rotary, Chris Makin and Laurie Snowball from Trafalgar Rotary, Aaron Wilson from MN Lions, Karen Lanyon from MN Secondary College and Wendy Inman from MN Primary School
Rotary also welcomed new member Stephen Parker
and his wife Rosemary

2010 Rotary
Trivia Night
This year's annual fundraiser attracted around 140 contestants, with the winning table hosting a number of local teachers. This was very appropriate, because the trivia night was to raise funds for the Duke of Edinburgh program at Mirboo North Secondary School.
Specifically, these and other funds raised in a joint effort with Mirboo North Lions will pay the registration fees for a large group of Mirboo North students into the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, allowing them to take part in the local "Community Breakout Program". Rotary Treasurer, Richard Arnold presented a cheque for the first instalment of funding to MNSC teachers Alice O'Mara and Andrew McGrath.

Rotary Disaster Appeal
Mirboo North Rotary has already forwarded $500 to the Haiti disaster relief, from funds raised within the Mirboo North community. This week Rotary was delighted to accept a donation for the fund from local Rotarian, Associate Professor Ysanne Chapman, pictured with Rotary President Sashi Nair. The donation was raised by graduates from the 2008 Nursing and Midwifery School at Monash Churchill . . . a terrific community effort!

Rotary at Mossvale Park Concert
Mirboo North Rotary helped with the special day out for local senior citizens at the Music For The People Concert on Sun 28th Feb.
The concert featured the Victorian Concert Orchestra and local artists.
