Armagh is set up as a holiday retreat for those wanting a venue for holidays or weekend stays or as a honeymoon retreat. As it is equipped with a grand piano, Armagh is ideal for musical gatherings or soirees. The property is also suitable as a retreat for small group, company or business functions or as a setting for a marquee wedding and/or photographs.
The house has many original features, eg a pressed metal ceiling in the sitting/dining room, pressed metal dado in the main entrance hall, Baltic pine flooring and four original fireplaces in perfect condition. The original part of the house ‘Gum Nut Cottage' is lined with tongue and groove wood which has been limed to lighten that area of the house.
Built for the Lester family in 1895 in the District of Kooraman this historic home was relocated to Mirboo North and has been carefully restored. The main entrance hall is graced with beautiful pressed metal dado walls and an ornate ceiling. Beautiful period details greet you at every turn.
The house is sited in a lovely bush setting and many species of birds and wildlife inhabit the area. Native animals seen in the area include koalas, wallabies, wombats and echidnas. The property is regularly visited by kookaburras. Platypus can be found in streams around Mirboo North.
On arrival, your first impression will create the perfect mood for your getaway- the fresh smell of Eucalypts and, an inviting home with extensive verandahs providing a fine example of Australian architecture.
Armagh offers:
- 4 fully furnished bedrooms - One with queen bed, one with queen bed and a baby's cot, one has a queen bed and a single bed (with ensuite) and one with a king size bed. An additional child's mattress can be provided upon request)

- A fully equipped kitchen and family area with dining facilities for 11 people. The kitchen is equipped with twin ovens, gas cooktop, 2 fridges, microwave, slow cooker, juicer, bread maker, rice cooker and crockery, glassware and cooking utensils.
